Welcome to our little blog. Mary and I are two crazy individuals who enjoy old International Trucks and Scouts, life in the slow lane (off the Interstates with a number of detours) and we enjoy the people we meet and talk with on our journeys.
We will try to capture and report small stories on life in the United States as we find them. So please enjoy and leave a comment or two if we write something you like.
The first adventure, 2014 IH Sierra Fall Rallye is complete. Mary and I drove to an International truck show, The IH Sierra Fall Rallye in Grass Valley, California, a 6,600 mile round trip to the Pacific Ocean and back. Click on “2014 IH Sierra Fall Rallye” category to see all the posts.
Why Sydney Across America? Well the Scout in the picture is Sydney (yes, we name our vehicles) and driving to the 2014 IH Sierra Fall Rallye in Grass Valley, California was the driver to start a blog and so SydneyAcrossAmerica.com was hatched.
There will be other posts as we take Sydney, Woodstock, The Mazda, or BAMFT on trips across America.
I am also a beekeeper and find the “ladies” (honey bee workers are female) quite fascinating. I will share information on beekeeping as well. This information is targeted to the general public so that more people understand the amazing honey bees and what they provide for us.
p.s. A big thanks to Jim Hadfield for hosting this blog.
