Bent’s Old Fort

Bent’s Fort was built by two brothers and   a partner.  Originally they traded for furs and then later, for buffalo robes.

It is made of adobe with 30 inch walls.  It was restored (completely rebuilt) by the National Park Service in 1975.

Here is one resident of the fort.

And of course Sydney and Cali patiently waiting.
