2014 IH Sierra Fall Rallye

So another wonderful truck show, I mean family reunion is over.

Sydney represented the Midwest Scouts very well.

The first trophy is Second Place in the Traveler / Terra Class.

Rusty won First with her Traveler. DSCN0656

The little plaque is awarded to the Furthest Traveled International vehicle.  We easily won this with 2,807 miles.

The large plaque is quite an honor and a big surprise to Mary and I.

The Ornas Family Award goes to the best, original Scout at the show.  Mary and I are honored and were very surprised to win this award!

I stated “family reunion” because these shows are no longer totally about the vehicles.  They have become mostly about the people we meet.  We were invited to the Scouts West show.  We had great conversations with people we just met, some about vehicles but more on other topics.

The trucks and Scouts are just a “vehicle” to better and more rewarding interaction with other people.

Thank you to NorCal Scouts, Sierra Scouts, Bay Area Binder Society, Jeff Ismail and IH Parts America for bringing us all together at the 2014 IH Sierra Fall Rallye!

About Carl & Mary

Two crazy individuals who enjoy old trucks, life in the slow lane (off the Interstates), and observing life in the United States.

It was good a good surprise to see you two at the show – a good surprise though. Add to that the fact that you drove out towing your teardrop trailer made it even more exciting. I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip, please be safe and post up as often as technology allows – you are living one of my bucket list items.

    Best Regards,
